Savitap Inc. ("Savitap," "we," "our," or "us") operates the online platform located at https://savitap.com (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information about visitors, homeowners, consumers, and service professionals ("you" or "Users") who use our Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you ("Personal Information").

Information from Homeowners and Consumers

  • Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, account credentials, and IP address
  • Project and Property Data: home-improvement project details, including costs, square footage, photos, descriptions, and timelines
  • Geolocation: ZIP code or general project location; we never publish precise street addresses
  • Payment Information, if applicable: processed through third-party payment providers

Information from Service Professionals

  • Business Credentials: business name, license classifications, estimated service rates, and insurance information
  • Public Record Data: information from building permits and state licensing registries
  • Professional Profiles: verification data, portfolio photos, reviews, and other information provided to match with homeowners

Automated and Technical Data

  • Usage Activity: browsing history, referring URLs, clickstream data, session duration, and device information
  • AI-Generated Data: inferred project classifications, predictive cost benchmarks, and other analytics derived from user submissions

Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Targeted Advertising

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, analyze usage, personalize content, and deliver relevant advertising.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information to data brokers for monetary compensation.

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

  • Marketplace Matching: we share project details and contact information between homeowners and matched service professionals to facilitate quotes and bookings
  • Service Providers: with trusted third parties, such as hosting providers, analytics services, payment processors, and email services, who are obligated to protect your data and use it only on our behalf
  • Public Aggregations: anonymized, aggregated cost statistics and market insights with all personal identifiers removed
  • Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction
  • Legal Compliance and Safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Savitap, our users, or the public

Automated Decision-Making and AI Disclosures

Our Platform uses AI to clean data, classify projects, and generate cost ranges and benchmarks.

  • Inherent Limitations: AI outputs are estimates only and may contain errors. They are not financial, legal, or professional advice.
  • Human Oversight: we conduct periodic manual reviews of AI-generated data to improve accuracy and correct anomalies.
  • No Solely Automated Decisions: we do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing without human review.

Data Retention and Security

Retention: we retain account-related identifiers for up to 3 years after account deletion or as required by law. Anonymized or aggregated cost data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and historical benchmarking.

Security: we use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, firewalls, and anomaly detection. However, no system is 100% secure.

Your Rights and Choices

For all users, including GDPR users where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability.

California residents under the CCPA and CPRA, and residents of other U.S. states with comparable privacy laws, may have the right to:

Children's Privacy

Our Platform is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16, or the applicable age under local law. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.

International Transfers

If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
