Terms of Service

SaviTap is operated by Savitap Inc.

Savitap Inc. ("Savitap," "we," "our," or "us") operates the platform located at https://savitap.com (the "Platform"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform, including all content, tools, AI-generated outputs, cost insights, and future marketplace features. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms and Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting the updated Terms on the Platform with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to any modification, you must immediately stop using the Platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

2.1 Informational Platform Only

The Platform provides cost insights, analyses, tools, benchmarks, and content related to home-improvement projects. All information is for informational and educational purposes only.

2.2 Not a Contractor

Savitap does not perform home-improvement, construction, or handyman services and is not a licensed contractor in any jurisdiction.

2.3 Independent Service Professionals

Any service professionals ("Pros") referenced, matched, or introduced on the Platform are independent third parties. We do not employ, supervise, control, or guarantee the work of any Pro.

2.4 No Guarantee of Professional Quality

We do not guarantee workmanship, licensing status, insurance coverage, background checks, safety practices, or compliance with building codes. All responsibility for any services rests solely between you and the Pro.

  • SaviTap is not itself a licensed contractor unless explicitly stated otherwise
  • service professionals referenced or matched through the Platform are independent third parties
  • we do not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or code compliance of third-party services

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into contracts, and using the Platform for lawful purposes only.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update it as necessary. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion without notice.

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any cost data, project descriptions, photos, feedback, messages, or other content you submit ("User Content").

5.2 License Grant to Savitap

By submitting User Content, you grant Savitap a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, store, reproduce, modify, aggregate, anonymize, analyze, display, publish, and create derivative works from your User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform, generating benchmarks, training AI models, and creating anonymized analytics.

5.3 Your Representations

You represent and warrant that:

  • your User Content is accurate and truthful
  • you have all necessary rights to submit the content
  • your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • you will not submit personal, sensitive, or confidential information about others

5.4 Right to Remove

We may, at any time and for any reason, remove, edit, or restrict access to any User Content.

6. Cost Data, Estimates, and AI Outputs

6.1 Informational Use Only

All cost ranges, predictions, benchmarks, and AI-generated outputs are statistical estimates for informational and educational purposes only.

6.2 Not a Quote or Guarantee

Cost data and AI outputs are not guaranteed pricing, binding offers, or professional advice. You must not rely on them for financial decisions, construction planning, code compliance, safety assessments, or hiring decisions.

6.3 AI Limitations

AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. We may conduct human review to improve accuracy, but we make no warranties regarding AI results.

6.4 Public Data and De-Identification

We may use publicly available permit or government data. All such data is de-identified and aggregated. You are prohibited from attempting to re-identify any de-identified data.

  • they are not legal, financial, engineering, or construction advice
  • AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate
  • you should use independent judgment and qualified professionals before making project decisions

7. Contractors and Service Professionals

If matching or booking features are available, service professionals remain independent contractors.

  • we do not employ or control them
  • we do not guarantee workmanship, licensing, insurance, or project outcomes
  • unless explicitly stated, we do not screen, verify licenses, conduct background checks, or guarantee insurance of any Pro
  • all disputes regarding work performed are solely between you and the Pro

8. Payments and Billing

If we enable payments, subscriptions, bookings, or other financial features:

  • transactions will be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe
  • you authorize us and our payment processors to charge applicable fees and taxes
  • we do not store full payment card details
  • refund policies will be set forth in separate payment terms

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • scrape or bulk extract platform data without authorization
  • reverse engineer or tamper with the platform or its algorithms
  • submit fraudulent, infringing, unlawful, or misleading content
  • impersonate others or provide false information
  • disrupt the platform or interfere with other users
  • use AI tools to mass-generate or manipulate submissions
  • attempt to re-identify anonymized or aggregated data

Violations may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Platform uses cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies. Your use constitutes consent to these technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, including software, code, designs, databases, aggregated datasets, AI models, analytics, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by Savitap or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

12. Electronic Communications

By using the Platform, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including emails, push notifications, and in-app messages, regarding your account, transactions, updates, and marketing. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

13. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

14. No Warranties

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, including accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Savitap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Savitap is not liable for any contractor work, property damage, personal injury, or losses arising from your use of the Platform or interactions with Pros
  • our total liability to you is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Savitap, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from:

  • your use of the Platform
  • your User Content
  • your interactions with any Pro
  • your violation of these Terms

17. Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

  • arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis; class actions, class arbitrations, and representative actions are waived and not permitted
  • the arbitration will take place in California, or another location mutually agreed upon
  • this section survives termination of your use of the Platform

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

19. Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive, including liability, indemnification, arbitration, and intellectual property, will continue to apply.

20. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Savitap regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
